September Service Specials
Benna Ford is offering great service specials to close out the summer season. If you are in need of new tires, a fresh service, or anything else, then you should take advantage of these specials while you have time.

Tires
Tires are one of the most important and often overlooked parts of a car. Good tires shield some of the road noise from reaching the cabin while you drive, and they are a prime reason why cars have the ability to stop or maneuver in time during a road emergency. As the amount of tread goes down, stopping distances and maneuverability wane, especially in the wet. So while it may seem like your tires are fine, the distance it can take to stop from highway speeds can increase by nearly double, depending on tread depth and road conditions. When you come to Benna Ford and order new tires, you can save big by getting a $100 mail-in rebate when ordering a new set of Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli, BFGoodrich, Kelly, and General. So stop in to have the tread on your tires checked by the service department.
Brakes
While you’re having your tires checked, you might as well take advantage of the complimentary brake inspection from Benna Ford, especially if you think your brakes don’t feel like they are doing as good of a job as they could or should. And if you do need new pads, you can earn 2,000 FordPass Rewards Points if you buy new Motorcraft or Omnicraft pads. Or, if you need pads and rotors, you’ll earn 6,000 Rewards Points with the purchase and installation of Motorcraft or Omnicraft brake rotors and or pads. Don’t forget: Motorcraft and Omnicraft brake pads are covered under a lifetime warranty.
FordPass Rewards
When you earn FordPass Rewards Points, you can use them towards servicing your vehicle, purchasing accessories or parts, and even as a downpayment towards another Ford vehicle. Feel free to ask about how you can qualify for the FordPass Rewards Points Visa Card, which can allow you to have 0% interest on Ford dealership purchases above $499. In fact, you can earn 11,000 Rewards Points after your first purchase.
Battery
Has your car been slow to start recently? Well, maybe it’s time for a new battery. But before you just go out and buy one, come in to have your battery tested for free. And if you need one, our technicians will take care of that in no time for you. If you choose a Motorcraft Tested Tough PLUS Battery, you’ll pay $119.95, or you can use 22,000 FordPass Rewards Points, which features a 24-month replacement warranty, or you can get a Motorcraft Tested Tough MAX battery for $149.95 or 28,000 Rewards Points. The MAX battery comes with a 36-month replacement warranty.

Updated Ford F150 To Debut At Detroit Auto Show?
The latest Ford F-150 debuted in 2020 as a 2021 model, with major updates to the interior and exterior styling and features. What also came from that redesign was an updated Raptor and a new, special Raptor R.

Detroit Auto Show
With the Detroit Auto Show happening this week, it is certain that we will see a mid-cycle refresh to the most sold vehicle in America, as we have seen multiple camouflaged F-150s spied driving around. While it wouldn’t be a big set of changes, but some minor tweaks, such as to suspension, interior, headlight and grille design, and technology, especially with BlueCruise 1.3 having recently debuted.
Engines
The current list of engines, from the 3.3-liter V6, 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, 5.0-liter V8, 3.0-liter PowerStroke V6, and 3.5-liter PowerBoost Hybrid V6, and Raptor R’s Supercharged 5.2-liter V8 will likely continue on with maybe minor tweaks at most.

Hybrid PowerBoost
What we expect to see is updates to the F-150 Hybrid, as Jim Farley, CEO of Ford, recently said, more than 10% of buyers are opting for the Hybrid version. By adding a Hybrid battery system to the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 called the PowerBoost, you get 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque, with 100% of peak torque coming in at 3,000 rpm. That’s an increase of 30 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque over the EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6. The F-150 PowerBoost gets 25 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, respectively, in 2WD trim, while in 4WD, it gets 24 mpg in both driving cycles. All Ford F-150 engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Full Redesign Coming
A Fully-new Ford F-150 is likely to actually debut as a 2027 model year car. That will certainly feature refreshed engines, especially major upgrades and updates to the all-electric F-150 Lightning, as battery technology is advancing at a breakneck pace.
At Benna Ford, we offer some of the best prices and services to all of our customers. With more than 100 new and used vehicles to choose from, our great sales team and finance department will work hard to make sure you drive away happy. And our amazing service department will take care of your new-to-you vehicle as if it were their own.
2025 Ford Mustang GTD
Picture this: A dark, damp room. It’s in the basement of a normal looking warehouse. There’s a door with a keypad, a place to swipe a badge and a retinal scan. But that’s just the beginning. Behind that door is a hallway that leads to another, larger door. There’s no keypad. There is no retinal scan, or place to swipe a badge. No, this door is only opened by you uttering a phrase that changes every week. It knows the sound of your voice. If it’s not your voice, an alarm sounds, and a dozen armed guards come to take you away.
Impossible Mission?
That kind of sounds like a plot for Ethan Hunt and the Impossible Mission Force. While it’s a dramatization, the Ford Skunkworks team does meet in a very remote area behind a giant wind tunnel where no one can really see what goes on.
Watch Out Europe, Here We Come
In this case, it was to develop a car that would spare no expense at taking on the best pure track machine that Europe has to offer: The Porsche 911 GT3 RS. That’s the car that everyone sets out to take the throne from, but while some come close, most miss the mark. However, the Mustang GTD has something up its sleeve.
“Mustang GTD shatters every preconceived notion of a supercar. This is a new approach for us. We didn’t engineer a road car for the track, we created a race car for the road. Mustang GTD takes racing technology from our Mustang GT3 race car, wraps it in a carbon fiber Mustang body and unleashes it for the street,” said Jim Farley, Ford president and CEO.

Engine & Racing Tech
The GTD is powered by a Supercharged 5.2-liter V8 that is promised to produce at least 800 horsepower and features a giant hydraulically-activated Drag Reduction System (DRS) wing that is attached to the body, plus active aerodynamics under the front of the car. There will be no back seats or trunk space, as the trunk will be taken up by rear suspension components.
50/50 Weight Distribution
In order to make as close to a 50/50 weight distribution as possible, the Mustang GTD has a transaxle, which is a way to combine your transmission, rear axle, and differential for weight balance. It will have only one gearbox: an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Production
The Mustang GTD is produced by Ford at the Mustang plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, and then shipped to Markham, Ontario, Canada, the home of famed automotive engineering manufacturer Multimatic, the same company that redesigned the suspension for the latest generation Ford GT, using their incredible Adaptive Spool Valve dampers.
Born From Jets
Recycled titanium from retired F-22 Raptor jets is used to create the paddle shifters and door sills. There will also be an optional titanium exhaust.
When asked what makes the Mustang GTD so special, Mark Rushbrook, global director of Ford Performance Motorsports, said, “We obsessed about the racing technology under its skin. What makes it go is even more compelling than what you can see when it passes you by. When you look at the engineering, the aerodynamics, how the powertrain works, the Mustang GTD is a rocketship for the road.”

The Nürburgring
Ford is aiming for a sub-7 minute lap time on the Nürburgring, the 12.49-mile German public highway that is used to qualify how great a streetcar is on a race track. It is one of the most dangerous tracks in the world, and it is also one of the longest. The lap time of the current generation 992.1 911 GT3 RS is 6:44.848. This is a car you can go into any dealership and buy and drive home. The Mustang GTD aims to be the answer for customers who don’t want a Porsche.
Race Car First
Since it was actually developed to race in the GTD racing class for the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship here in America, it will also compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Both series will involve the Mustang taking on the likes of BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz AMG, Ferrari, and the like.

Cost
The Mustang GTD will cost at least $300,000 and fully debut by early 2025.

Ford Expands BlueCruise Semi-Autonomous Driving
The future is now and getting better with each day. Semi-autonomous vehicles are becoming more readily available on the car market, and Ford has one of the best and most advanced systems in BlueCruise.
What Is BlueCruise?
BlueCruise is considered an Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) and has currently traveled more than 100 million hands-free miles in the hands of customers, which also equates to customers experiencing over 1.4 million hours of driving time.
When BlueCruise debuted in 2022, it was specifically featured on all-electric Ford vehicles and now is featured on over 250,000 cars on the road. For 2024 though, BlueCruise is being expanded to 500,000 to both gas and electric-powered Ford and Lincoln models in North America, as are subscription plans.

What Vehicles Have BlueCruise?
Ford and Lincoln vehicles that are equipped with BlueCruise from the factory have all-new subscription models. If you choose not to purchase the advanced hands-free driver technology when you order or buy your car, you will get a complimentary 90-day trial. After the trial period ends, you will be able to activate it at any time. And you will be able to pay either monthly, or annually.
For 2024 the Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150, and Expedition will be available with BlueCruise, as well as the 2024 Lincoln Navigator, Nautilus, and select Corsair trim levels.

How Much Does It Cost?
If you choose to get BlueCruise from the moment you purchase your car, you will access the semi-autonomous tech for three years, and it can be rolled into the overall financing of your new vehicle. If you choose to get BlueCruise when you purchase your new car, you will access the semi-autonomous tech for three years in Ford vehicles and four years in Lincoln models. Activation is $2,100 if you choose to pay when buying your car, or $800 annually, or $75 per month.
“BlueCruise is an experience-it-to-believe-it technology, and people are amazed at how BlueCruise can help make driving less stressful and more enjoyable – especially in traffic or on long drives,” said Ashley Lambrix, Head of Commercial Acceleration – Ford Model e. “We believe in this technology and how it can help transform the highway driving experience and want to give more customers the opportunity to try it and provide flexibility for them to activate it when they want to use it.”
At Benna Ford, we are proud to offer Ford vehicles with BlueCruise, and we are able to order your new 2024 car or truck with advanced driver-assist technology. Our wonderful sales team will be happy to work with you to get the best price for your next vehicle. And our talented service department will work tirelessly to ensure your car stays in the best possible condition.
What’s The Best Hitch For My F-150?
When buying a truck or SUV to tow with, you really need to make sure you know what you are looking for and getting into. It shouldn’t be taken lightly, as towing unsafely can cause real harm to yourself, other people on the road, and especially if you are towing horses, or some other type of animal. Before doing any towing, you should always calculate the weights involved, check your tow hitch, make sure your brakes are in good working order, and also have the proper tire pressures in your vehicle and trailer, among other things.
Many Engines, Lots Of Towing Capability

The Ford F-150 can be optioned with 6 different motors, from a 3.3-liter V6, 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, 5.0-liter V8, 3.0-liter Power Stroke Diesel V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, and finally a 3.5-liter PowerBoost Hybrid. This means that an F-150 can tow anywhere from 5,000 lbs with a base V6 model, all the way up to 13,800 lbs with a properly equipped 3.5-liter EcoBoost. Because of this, sometimes you will want to use a Weight-Distribution Hitch.
What Is A Weight-Distribution Hitch?
To understand what a Weight-Distribution Hitch is, you need to understand that when towing, you are essentially putting a load on the rear axle. If there is too much weight on the tongue, the front end can start to get light, meaning braking performance is worse, steering becomes less precise, and you have a recipe for potential disaster that can cause real harm to you and others on the road. So, fundamentally, it allows you to put more of the towing weight back onto the front axle instead of having the rear axle take all of the load.
What Exactly Is FALR?

Front-Axle Load Restoration (FALR) is a method used to distribute weight back to the front axle. This correlates to a set of equalizer bars or arms placed from the trailer hitch to the a-frame of the trailer you’re towing. These are typically placed about 25-35 inches from the coupler. The coupler is the part that goes from the trailer and locks onto the hitch ball from the towing vehicle. Changing the height of the hitch ball/head can further change the distribution of weight.
When using the FALR system, you can load anywhere from 50% up to 100% of the distributed weight back to the front axle. Just remember, adding too much weight back to the front axle can have adverse effects on the rear axle, by inducing slippage. The rear tires will have less traction, and this can cause the trailer to become unwieldy.
When To Use A Weight-Distribution Hitch
Now, when exactly should you be using a weight distribution hitch? Ford recommends that you use one on any trailer over 5,000 lbs. And they also recommend using 50% FALR.
Tow Safely

While towing can seem very stressful at first, after a few times, you will get the hang of it. It’s not difficult if you follow the steps to tow safely, which includes understanding the limits of your vehicle, the trailer, and calculating everything appropriately. Try and practice with a rented trailer or with the help of some friends. Towing is a skill that can really come in handy, especially if you get into doing big home projects, race cars on the weekends, or if you end up buying a horse.
At Benna Ford, we take pride in offering the best vehicles to our customers. With dozens of new and pre-owned vehicles to choose from, our amazing sales team will find you the right vehicle at the right price. Once you’ve purchased your vehicle, our stellar service department will ensure that your car stays in the best shape. We look forward to taking care of you in the future.
2024 EcoBoost Mustang Draws Rave Reviews
The introduction of the 2024 Ford Mustang shows that Americans still want fun, fast, and sporty coupes. Whether you love screaming V8s or Turbocharged 4-Cylinders, the S650 Mustang has you covered. S650 is the chassis code for this new generation of Mustang.
With the media getting the chance to drive the new Mustang, so far, they have been absolutely raving about the EcoBoost for being great for everyday use while still being sporty to still feel like it has the muscle you want from a Mustang.

The 2024 Mustang EcoBoost features a 2.3-liter EcoBoost Twin-Scroll Turbocharged Inline-4 Cylinder that produces 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that will fire off shifts faster than you can say “Weee”. EPA estimated fuel mileage is 22 city mpg and 33 highway mpg, respectively. The EcoBoost is here to stay and has proven to be just as much of a Mustang as the GT model.
When talking about the power and sound from the all-new EcoBoost Mustang, MotorTrend said, “In this modern era of easy speed, you’ll never mistake the revised EcoBoost for being fast, but it’ll likely embarrass most V-8-powered Mustangs built prior to 2010. The fourth-gen EcoBoost mill makes more power earlier in the rev range than the EcoBoost it replaces, staying on the boil for longer. Equipped with the optional active exhaust system, the new 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost even sounds pretty good, replacing the previous car’s hot hatch soundtrack with a low, throaty rumble.”

Inside, the new EcoBoost arrives with a standard 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen. The digital instrument cluster can be customized to show different themes, such as Normal, Sport, Track, Fox Body, and Calm. Yes, you read that right: you can make your digital gauge cluster look just like the analog gauges out of a 1987-1993 Fox Body Mustang. Leather Recaro racing buckets are optional with the also optional Performance Package.
One of the main options that journalists are loving is the new Drift Brake. With the optional Drift Brake, your physical parking brake, by way of a button, can be turned into a drift actuator, essentially.
Autoblog dedicated an entire article to the Drift Brake saying, “Step one: Gun it. Step two: Yank up on the handbrake and crank the wheel with your left hand from 2 o’clock down to 7. Step three: Feel the car whip around, bring handbrake down, gun it again. Congratulations, you are drifting in the 2024 Ford Mustang thanks to its new, unique-to-a-production-car electronic drift brake. It couldn’t be easier. You can also do some pretty sick Ace Ventura parking jobs.”

If you are interested in the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang, Benna Ford is happy to assist you in answering any questions or helping you order one for yourself. Our talented sales team will work to ensure your satisfaction with the purchase of a new or used vehicle. Our fantastic service department will make sure that your vehicle stays in the absolute best condition possible. We look forward to serving you.
How Would You Customize The 2024 Mustang?
The Ford Mustang has always been about freedom. It makes sense when you think about its name. Surprisingly, how the Mustang got its name is actually a major topic of controversy among some people. Regardless of the true origin of the name, what has stuck around when it comes to the Mustang is the principle of free-roaming horses, as well as P-51 Mustang planes. The Pony car has long been combined with both icons, both in photography and videography, as well as special edition P-51-inspired models.
2024 Ford Mustang Engines

With the introduction of the new, 2024 Ford Mustang, people are customizing their cars through orders like never before. Starting at just $32,515, the new car is a bargain for its feature set and performance. Under the hood is your choice of either a 2.3-liter EcoBoost Turbocharged Inline-4 cylinder engine producing 315 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. V8 Mustangs feature the 5.0-liter Coyote naturally-aspirated V8 that produces 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The top-of-the-line Dark Horse keeps the Coyote and takes it to 500 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque.
Transmissions

2024 Mustangs with the EcoBoost engine only come with the 10-speed automatic transmission, while the GT buyers choose between a 6-speed manual or the 10-speed. Dark Horse models get the Tremec TR-3160, the transmission that was in the 2015-2020 GT350, and the 2021-2022 Mach 1. Standard GT Mustangs get the tried and true MT-82 6-speed manual.
Option and Color Take Rates

According to Ford, 27% of all orders thus far have been placed with the manual transmission. Interestingly, 50% of EcoBoost buyers have opted for the Electronic Drift Brake when optioning the High-Performance Package, which is a higher take rate than on EcoBoost HPP cars over the past 3 years.
Of all the available options on the 2024 Mustang GT, 22% have opted for the Performance Package, and 26% have checked the box for the Nite Pony Package. The Nite Pony Package includes a black grille, roof, wheels, badges, rear spoiler, mirror caps, and black bezel headlamps.
The top color choices owners have chosen for EcoBoost and GT cars have been, 17% Shadow Black, 13% Oxford White, and 11% Rapid Red. Dark Horse customers have overwhelmingly preferred Blue Ember at a take rate of 39%, 18% for Vapor Blue, and 16% chose Shadow Black.

What Is The Latest Tech For The Ford Super Duty
Ford Super Duty trucks are synonymous with ability. With the latest design and features, the updated 2023 Super Duties are some of the most advanced trucks on the job site. No longer do you have to find aftermarket solutions to your problems, as Ford has listened to customer feedback, looked at the aftermarket, and made changes to make sure the new trucks have all that you will need. Whether you work on a job site every day or you just need a big, capable truck for your personal life, you aren’t going wrong with a Ford Super Duty.

With an all-new Head-Up Display that’s been inspired by fighter jets, you won’t have to move your head or eyes to get pertinent information while you’re driving. You have the choice of three viewing modes:
- Normal Mode – shows speed, speed limit, and navigation prompts.
- Tow-Haul Mode – features a tachometer, gear, and trailer brake output.
- Off-Road Mode – shows your tachometer, and drive line status, along with vehicle pitch and roll.
Mark Sich, Ford digital design manager had this to say about the new HUD, “We wanted to create an amazing digital experience for our most-focused truck customers, and our research led us to look at aircraft HUD concepts because of their task-oriented hierarchical structures. “But because pilots are trained to read information in a very prescribed and technical manner, our implementation needed the interaction to be more intuitive for the driver to immediately understand the context of the information being presented.”
According to Ford, more than 90% of Heavy Duty truck owners use them to tow. With either the 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 making 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque or the High Output 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 producing 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque, you will have a fantastic heavy-duty pickup truck that can tackle whatever is thrown at it.

With the availability of Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, you are able to take the guesswork out of backing up to a trailer. Meaning you can get to it quicker without as many steering changes to get your ball to the hitch. By using machine learning and computer vision, the system automatically identifies hitches and will line the truck’s hitch up to a conventional trailer coupler with the push of a button.
Cameras and sensors all around the Super Duty are meant to aid in making towing much easier and give drivers more confidence and control of whatever they’re towing. With features such as:
- Tailgate Down Camera and Rear Park Aid Sensors: An industry first, cameras and sensors are placed on the top of the tailgate. When the tailgate is lowered, and you are backing up to a loading dock or hitching up a gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailer, you will receive both visual and audible alerts to make things easier.
- Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch: This estimates the amount of payload you have in the back of the truck in real-time, and then it provides you with an understanding of your trailer tongue weight distribution. This information is shown on the infotainment screen and within the taillamps.
- Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) for Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck: When attached to a trailer, the side mirrors will alert you to vehicles next to the trailer when driving.
- Pro Trailer Navigation: This feature assists in planning the best routes that are easiest for you towing certain types of trailers. It will help to avoid low bridges and tighter turns.
- Trail Turn Assist: We all know your turning radius gets drastically worse with the larger trailer you’re towing. With TTA, you can virtually lock either of the rear wheels to bring your turning radius to 180 degrees while still navigating tighter corners on a trail.
“This truck represents the pinnacle of BUILT FORD TOUGH® strength and capability, now with advanced technology that makes towing and hauling even easier and businesses more productive. Whether you are towing a boat for weekend family fun, operating a boom lift to fix powerlines, or hauling heavy loads while navigating hills and tough terrain, the all-new 2023 Super Duty not only tackles the task with ease, but its smart connectivity will surprise our customers with ingenious new solutions to transform their truck experience,” said Tim Baughman, General Manager, Ford Pro, North America

With the new Ford Super Duty, you can help to power the job site, tailgate party, or a camping trip with Pro Power Onboard. Giving you 2 kW of power output, you can utilize the power outlets inside the cabin or the cargo box, or, with a special outlet installation kit, you can mount them on the cab of the chassis.
No longer do you have to use plug-in devices to keep track of data on your fleet trucks. With Ford Pro™ Intelligence software products, you have technology like Ford Pro™ Telematics, a cloud-based platform that gives fleet managers access to valuable data and insights to help increase productivity and decrease downtime of vehicles.
The 5G modem inside the truck is a powerful tool to keep you online while out of the office and on the go. This also helps Over-The-Air (OTA) updates be more reliable for the Super Duty, providing new capabilities and features to help keep your Ford truck more the experience with your truck.

Last but certainly not least is the new Uplift Integration System (UIS), which makes it so much easier to install, operate, and control various body-mounted components to the trucks. It’s all plug-and-play. Plug into the tuning port, and you will have the ability to create logic to install and utilize the device on your Super Duty. For instance, you can program the vehicle not to allow the transmission to go into drive when using a raised boom lift.
When looking for a new Ford truck, car, or SUV at Benna Ford, we have you covered. With dozens of new and pre-owned vehicles to choose from, our wonderful sales team will help you get the best price for your next vehicle. And our dedicated service team will work tirelessly to keep your car or truck in the absolute best condition.
Price Drop On New Ford Lightning Pickups

Thanks to efforts in retooling the plant to boost production, and lowering raw battery material costs, the automaker is able to lower the price of the Lightning by as much as $9,979. This comes on the heels of Ford shutting the Michigan plant down for six weeks where the F-150 Lightning is manufactured. Ford explained all of that effort was to increase the efficiency of the facility to be able to output a total of 150,000 electric trucks per year.
Power & Range

With the standard range battery, the F-150 Lightning produces 452 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque and has a 240-mile range. The extended-range models have 580 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque with a 320-mile range.
Tax Credits & Superchargers
Most Lightning models are eligible for as much as $7,500 in federal tax credits. And starting early in 2024, Ford Lightning customers will have access to more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers all over the United States and Canada.
New Pricing

The new pricing for each trim level is as follows:
Pro

When asked about the new pricing decrease, Marin Gjaja, chief customer officer, Ford Model e, said, “Shortly after launching the F-150 Lightning, rapidly rising material costs, supply constraints and other factors drove up the cost of the EV truck for Ford and our customers. We’ve continued to work in the background to improve accessibility and affordability to help to lower prices for our customers and shorten the wait times for their new F-150 Lightning.”

At Benna Ford, we are very proud to offer the game-changing F-150 Lightning, as well as every other Ford vehicle. With more than a hundred new and pre-owned vehicles for sale, our fantastic sales team will work hard to get you the best price possible.
