The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport is a versatile crossover SUV for buyers who need usability in a package that gets good fuel mileage, allows them to live an active lifestyle, but doesn’t take up too much space on the road. 

With your choice of either a 1.5-liter EcoBoost Inline-3 with 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.0-liter EcoBoost Inline-4 producing 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Both use an 8-speed automatic transmission to put power to the wheels. The 1.5 EcoBoost can achieve up to 25 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, respectively, and the 2.0 EcoBoost gets 21 city and 26 highway.

The 1.5-liter EcoBoost can be found on the Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks trim levels, while the Badlands trim features the 2.0-liter EcoBoost. Four-wheel drive is standard on all trim levels of the Bronco Sport, and it is able to tow up to 2,200 lbs. 

J.D. Power and Associates, using buyer survey data, have the Ford Bronco Sport an 85 out of 100 score, with 87/100 for reliability, a 90/100 driving experience, and 84/100 for resale value. This ranks it above competitors like the Subaru Crosstrek, Kia Seltos, Toyota Corolla Cross, Nissan Kicks, and Mazda CX-30. 

The Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks Bronco Sport have 32.5 cu.ft. of cargo space behind the second row and 65.2 cu.ft. with the rear seats folded. The Badlands trim has 29.4 cu.ft. of space behind the rear seats and 60.6 cu.ft. of space with the seats folded.

Other optional features are a Bang & Olufsen Sound System with 10 speakers, including a subwoofer, and FordPass Connect, which is a vehicle WiFi Hotspot that allows for up to 10 devices to be connected at once.
