For the past 43 years, the Ford F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in America and the best-selling truck for 48 consecutive years. Ford says a new F-150 was sold every 49 seconds in 2022. Ford introduced the high-performance off-road pickup truck called the F-150 Raptor for model-year 2010, and it’s been an icon ever since.

Performance

You have a choice of two engines for the 2025 F-150 Raptor, each with its own level of performance that continues to amaze and astound its owners:

• High Output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6: 450 horsepower / 510 pound-feet of torque
• Supercharged 5.2-liter V-8: 720 horsepower / 640 pound-feet of torque

The fast, off-road-engineered Raptor line of F-150 trucks is the dominant force buyers want in their lives. The Raptor has a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It comes with standard 35-inch tires, with the optional Raptor 37 package upsizing to 37-inch tires, FOX Dual-live Valve Shocks, modular front bumper, Recaro seats, and more.

The 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 Raptor R—actually considered a package added to the Raptor—has 720 horsepower and 640-lb-ft of torque. It is also combined with a 10-speed automatic. Both the Raptor and Raptor R get Trail 1-Pedal Drive, Ford Trail Control (cruise control for low-speed driving), and the Terrain Management System, which features seven different drive modes.

The Raptor can tow 8,200 pounds and the Raptor R 8,700 pounds, proving there is tons of capability at-the-ready. The maximum payload is 1,410 pounds. Every F-150 Raptor continues to come standard with a 36-gallon fuel tank, giving ample range and efficiency, especially on long journeys both on- and off-road.

Keeping the 2025 F-150 Raptor suspended are a set of Fox™ Live Valve Shocks with available Fox™ Dual-live Valve Shocks at both front and rear. The 2025 F-150 Raptor utilizes independent front suspension and a five-link live rear axle to help with maximum articulation and trail management when things get a little rough.

Exterior

The 2025 F-150 Raptor wears a specific grille, along with off-road bumpers, wheel well extensions, heavy duty skid plates, tailgate trim, and a set of 35- or 37-inch BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A K02 tires on 17-inch alloy beadlock-style wheels.

The only configuration available for the Raptor and Raptor R is the four-door SuperCrew cab with the 5.5-foot box. The SuperCrew’s 5.5-foot bed offers recessed bed storage boxes behind the rear wheel wells on either side of the bed.

You can configure your Raptor with or without graphics. Selecting the Raptor R package or Raptor 37 package will add specific available graphics for your pickup truck.

Interior

The 2025 F-150 Raptor offers one of the most spacious crew cabs in the pickup truck business. Available Recaro seats lock you in when you are taking your Raptor R or Raptor 37 to the limit. The driver gets a 12.0-inch Digital Productivity Screen, keeping him or her informed of the Raptor’s status on and off the road. Coupled with a Head-Up Display, drivers will have everything they need to see and know right in front of their eyes.

The 2025 F-150 Raptor also comes with an Interior Work Surface. When in Park, you can fold the shifter down with the push of a button and then open the center console armrest to create a flat surface.

Technology

Standard across all Raptor variants is a 12.0-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with Sync 4. Available is the B&O Unleashed audio system feeding the cabin with supreme sound. You also get a 5G LTE Wi-Fi connection along with wireless smartphone integration. 

The 2025 F-150 Raptor offers advanced towing-assist features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. Together, they make reversing up to a trailer and reversing with a trailer much more manageable, allowing drivers to waste less time getting hitched up or getting the trailer parked where it belongs.

Ford is using Stolen Vehicles Services in the 2025 F-150 Raptor, a service that can help locate and recover stolen trucks. Owners can use the FordPass app to report their vehicle as stolen through the Ford Stolen Vehicle Services Call Center. Together, they will work with the police to track your vehicle and help recover it.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Ford Co-Pilot360 offers an impressive array of safety features, such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection (to help avoid a possible collision with another vehicle or a pedestrian), rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, auto high-beam headlamps, and auto on/off headlamps.
