The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E offers a compelling, more traditional alternative to the Tesla Model Y. This sporty, advanced electric crossover boasts plenty of people and cargo-carrying volume to go with its ample range and robust technological suite, such as Ford’s latest BlueCruise highway self-driving suite, which can automatically pass slower traffic.

The 2025 Mach-E comes in easy-to-understand trim levels, with most models having over 250-300 miles of driving range. For 2025, the Mach-E lineup gets a new heat pump battery cooling system to improve efficiency, especially in colder climates.

Performance

The 2025 Mach-E is available in four different trim levels: Select, Premium, GT, and Rally. The Select and Premium models are available with either rear-wheel drive or e-all-wheel drive plus a Standard Range or Extended Range battery, while the GT and Rally are exclusively equipped with eAWD and Extended Range.

Models with e-AWD feature dual motors, whereas RWD cars have a single rear e-motor.

Select and Premium trims with the Standard Range (SR) RWD or eAWD have a 72-kWh battery, while all Extended Range (ER) Mach-E models have a 91-kWh battery capacity.

Select and Premium trim levels with Standard Range and rear-wheel drive have an EPA-estimated 250 miles of driving range, while the eAWD model has 230 miles of range. Select ER models have 300 miles of range. Extended Range RWD Premium models have a range of 320 miles. GT models have an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles, while the Mach-E Rally has 265 miles of range.

Ford says hooking the Mach-E up to a 120-volt standard outlet will get you about 30 miles over the course of an evening. However, plugging into a 240-volt outlet will get you roughly 80% of capacity overnight. With a Level 3 DC fast charger, the Mach-E can go from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes.

Power ranges across the model trim levels depending on whether your Mach-E has a single or dual motor, is SR or ER, or is RWD or eAWD.

Below are the different power and torque ratings of the Mach-E trim levels. Remember, SR stands for Standard Range, and ER means Extended Range.

Select:

• SR RWD - 264 horsepower / 387 lb-ft of torque
• SR eAWD - 325 horsepower / 500 lb-ft of torque
• ER eAWD - 365 horsepower / 500 lb-ft of torque

Premium:

• SR RWD - 264 horsepower / 387 lb-ft of torque
• SR eAWD - 325 horsepower / 500 lb-ft of torque
• ER RWD - 290 horsepower / 387 lb-ft of torque
• ER eAWD - 365 horsepower / 500 lb-ft of torque

GT:

• ER eAWD - 480 horsepower / 600 lb-ft of torque or 700 torque with optional Performance Upgrade

Rally:

• ER eAWD - 480 horsepower / 700 lb-ft of torque

The special edition Rally features a ride height that is increased by 20 millimeters to withstand off-road abuse, and it has 385 mm front brake rotors with red Brembo brake calipers. This model features 19-inch rally-style white wheels with 235/55/R19 Michelin CrossClimate2 tires. The tires are specially designed to provide more grip on loose surfaces, and the increased sidewall helps to maintain a balance with the suspension when traveling over rough terrain. The all-new RallySport Drive Mode allows for bigger slides, a more linear throttle response, and aggressive suspension damping.

Exterior

The Mustang Mach-E was designed to be more than just an EV. Its iconic Mustang LED tri-bar taillights and Pony badge on the front and rear are recognizable from any distance. All trim levels feature LED projector headlights with Pony Projection Puddle Lamps.

With a 0.28 drag coefficient, the all-electric Mustang crossover is slippery through the air, certainly aiding its range and overall efficiency.

The Mach-E can be completely individualized with as many as eight exterior color choices. Standard on Select, Premium, and Rally are your choice of 19-inch wheels, while GT models have standard 20-inch wheels.

Rally models feature a black-painted steel roof, a race-inspired front splitter, a rear Focus RS-inspired roof-mounted spoiler, and a new front fascia incorporating fog lights. Underbody shielding is increased to protect the vehicle when traveling over non-uniform terrain. Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Eruption Green, and Grabber Yellow are no-cost exterior color options. Available Star White or new Glacier Gray are extra-cost colors.

The Sport Appearance Package adds elements from the sporty GT model to non-GT trims. It bundles 19-inch gloss black wheels, black exterior trim, and red Brembo front brake calipers.

Interior

The interior of the Mach-E is a place where you can relax and enjoy your drive. The vertical 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display is within easy reach and allows you to control everything inside the car.

Behind the rear seats, you will find a healthy 29.7 cu.ft. of cargo space and 59.7 cu.ft. when the seats are folded with additional storage under the load floor. Add in the 4.7 cu.ft. of front trunk space (frunk) that is drainable, and the Mach-E not only seats five people comfortably but can easily transport all of their stuff. While it may be an incredibly sporty EV that can reach 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, it can also handle taking furniture home.

For models with the panoramic roof, a special coating on the glass helps keep the inside of the vehicle cooler while still allowing lots of natural light into the cabin.

The base Select trim level features an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat and a 4-way manually adjustable passenger seat. The Premium, GT, and Rally models feature 10-way power for the driver and 8-way power for the passenger. All models have split-folding rear seats to add extra interior space when carrying longer and larger items.

The Standard trim can be optioned with the Comfort Package Lite, which adds heated front seats and steering wheel, memory driver’s seat, and power folding mirrors. A power rear liftgate is available on the Premium trim. GT models add an aluminum instrument panel applique, the GT logo imprinted on the center armrest, and silver accent stitching throughout the interior. Customers who purchase the Mach-E Rally will get the same treatment, with the addition of sport pedals and “Mach-E Rally” on the seats and armrest.

Technology

All models feature a 15.5-inch touchscreen display, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless phone charging, USB ports for front and rear passengers, and two 12V sockets in the front console and the rear hatch area.

Using the 15.5-inch display is easier with SYNC 4A, which allows you to use your voice to change the music, temperature, access apps, call, text, and more.

Stepping up to the Premium trim gives buyers Multi-Color Ambient Lighting and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System with a subwoofer.

With FordPass Connect, you can lock and unlock your Mach-E, find where you parked your car, check your range and the state of charge, as well as pre-warm or cool the interior. The virtual key also allows you to use your phone as your key. When you approach the Mach-E with your phone, the driver’s door will automatically unlock, and you can get in and drive away.

Ford’s available BlueCruise 1.5 semi-autonomous driver assist system not only lets you take your hands off the steering wheel in many freeway driving situations but can even pass slower traffic for you automatically. The system uses cameras and the cruise control function to operate. It keeps you in your lane and at a specific speed and will slow down and speed up as necessary. If you need to change lanes, simply turn on your turn signal, and BlueCruise will do so when it is safe.

The Ford Connectivity Package bundles a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, in-vehicle apps (including YouTube streaming and karaoke functions while the vehicle is parked), along with connected navigation.
