The 2021 Ford F-150 is not only built for America – it is built for the Twin Ports area!
Did you know that the best-selling pickup truck in America is an investment in our economy?
A study by the Boston Consulting Group showed that the F-Series is the most popular vehicle on the road in Wisconsin and Minnesota. It is also the most popular vehicle in 75% of commercial vocations.
Nationwide, Ford has an overall share of 40% of its vehicles in fleets. In fact, Ford owns its share of fleets in mining companies, utility services, government services, emergency vehicles, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and so forth. These are key fleet sectors that serve the Twin Ports region and beyond – including the Iron Range.
Right now, there are about two million Fords registered in Wisconsin and Minnesota combined.
With such an economic impact on the states that border the Twin Ports area, the 2021 F-150 will continue to be the leader among pickup trucks in our region.
There is more to the story. The 2021 Ford F-150 will now have one of the highest maximum capability ratings in its class. In fact, the 2021 F-150 is capable of towing up to 14,000 pounds and can load up to 3,325 pounds in its box.
The 2021 Ford F-150 will be the first pickup with a true hybrid driveline with the PowerBoost V6 engine. This new driveline will have 430 total horsepower between the V6 gasoline engine and the electric motors on board. It can also put down 570 pound-feet of torque. The EcoBoost turbocharged V6s and 5.0-liter V8 will also receive increases in their performance ratings.
Equipped with the PowerBoost driveline, you can send power out with the Pro Power Onboard electrical system. This system delivers up to 18 times more exportable power than its competitors. In other words, your work life just got better with ready-to-go power to get the job done.
What better way to get the job done – and add to the economic impact your truck makes in your community – is the available Interior Work Surface and Tailgate Work Surface. They both will improve your productivity on site. When it’s time to take a break, you can rest in the Max Recline Seats.
The 2021 F-150 is coming soon to Benna Ford. Contact us to get on board with making your impact on our economy more productive. In the meantime, you can still make an impact with one of our remaining 2020 F-150s.
Ford Explorer Named Top Safety Pick + by IIHS
On any given day in the Twin Ports area, you may find yourself witnessing the aftermath of an accident. The people are OK, their vehicles might not be. However, this is development that automakers are making to sacrifice the vehicles in order to keep their occupants secure and, at best, injury-free.
Keeping you safe is a top priority at Ford. That is why we are proud to announce that the 2020 Ford Explorer has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick+ award. The Top Safety Pick+ is the Institute’s highest safety award.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick+ award criteria includes six crashworthiness tests as well as ensuring minimum “acceptable or good” headlight ratings on vehicles that must come equipped with advanced driver-assist technologies that can help avoid or reduce a collision.
The main reason the Ford Explorer earned this high honor is one important piece of standard equipment: The Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of driver-assist features. The full suite of Ford Co-Pilot360 driver-assist features on the 2020 Ford Explorer include:
- Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking including: Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, and Dynamic Braking System
- Blind Spot Information System
- Rearview Camera
- Cross-Traffic Alert
- Lane-Keeping System
- Auto High-Beam Headlamps
With Ford Co-Pilot360 on board, you will drive with peace-of-mind in every condition. With winter coming up, it is good to know that you will be secure in your new Explorer all year round.
To get the safest lineup of SUVs in the Twin Ports area, contact us at Benna Ford to check out the new Explorer with Ford Co-Pilot360 as standard.
Is Your Vehicle Ready For Fall?
The color of the leaves is changing up here in the Twin Ports area. Before you know it, winter will be here.
But, before we get our first snowfall, are you ready to tackle that fall color cruise? If not, stop by Benna Ford’s service department for a Fall maintenance check up on your vehicle.
In the meantime, here is what you should look for:
Battery: Have your battery checked to make sure it is charging. Is your battery five years old or older? The temperature change will start to affect cranking power from the battery.
Tires: temperatures affect tire pressure. Get that checked regularly, especially when the days get cooler. The rule of thumb is that for every 10 degrees of air temperature, 1-2 pounds of tire pressure will drop. Don’t forget to check your tread condition. If you do a lot of driving in the winter months, start considering a set of winter tires. Benna Ford has tires for sale – including a winter set. How old are your tires? Tires more than five years old may become damaged or cracked from weather and the sun’s UV rays.
Brakes: Fall is the perfect time to check on pad wear and rotor condition. Have Benna Ford do a brake check to see if they are in good shape.
Check All Fluid Levels: Not just for the temperature change, but to ensure they are topped off at the right level. This includes the cooling system, windshield washer, oil, transmission, steering, and brake fluid. Benna Ford can do that, too!
Lights: As the days get shorter, you will need your lights to work properly as it gets darker earlier. Check for proper aim and brightness. Benna Ford can check your lights and ensure they’ll work in the evening commute. Have your headlights yellowed? Talk to us about cleaning them up and restoring the look and power of your headlights.
Benna Ford’s service department is available to make sure that your vehicle gets through this seasonal transition. Contact us for an appointment and get ready for the leaves to turn color!
Ford made connectivity available to you when the original SYNC infotainment and connectivity system was introduced in 2007. For 2021, a new generation of SYNC will be introduced to Ford’s newest models – the F-150, Mustang Mach-E, and Bronco two- and four-door. It will add more connectivity and in-car infotainment features to its successful system.
One of those features will help you find the lowest fuel prices in the Twin Ports and beyond, but also find you that perfect parking spot on Tower Avenue or at the DECC.
New features!
This feature was developed by INRIX, Inc., a leading provider of connected car service and transportation analytics. As part of SYNC 4 with navigation, you can easily find, compare, and navigate to available parking spaces, along with searching for the lowest fuel prices and directions to drive to a station nearby.
Imagine driving your new Ford over to Miller Hill. There’s plenty of gas stations in that area. If you’re low on fuel, touch the SYNC 4 or talk to it. Ask for the lowest fuel price and where it is located using the navigation system.
Then, ask the system to find you a parking space right by Target or at the mall. Same way you asked for a lower fuel price – through the touchscreen or by voice – and your parking space is found. It will guide you to that space.
Which models?
This great addition to SYNC 4 is coming soon to Benna Ford with the arrival of the 2021 F-150, Mustang Mach-E, and Bronco two- and four-door. Contact us to register your interest on these upcoming vehicles – and the technology that will come with them.
Within weeks, Benna Ford will receive its first 2021 Ford F-150s. This is the truck that will offer more efficiency, technology, capacity, and convenience for both work and play.
For over four decades, the F-Series is the best-selling vehicle in America. The F-150 alone advances the definition of a pickup truck. The 2021 F-150 will set new standards in delivering the most maximum towing, payload, torque, and horsepower of any full-size, half-ton pickup truck.
What’s new?
The new F-150 will showcase a lot of new technologies and features designed to make – and play – better for you. For example, the new available Tailgate Work Surface enables you to do your job on site from the tailgate of your F-150. Your tools can be powered up with the available Pro Power Onboard providing power enough to operate your power tools or charge up a portable refrigerator for the end of the work week.
The 2021 F-150 will also come with the new SYNC 4 infotainment system, a 180-degree reclining front seat, and a new hybrid driveline. These are just a sampling of what to come when the new generation F-150 arrives here in the Twin Ports area.
While we await to see all of these new features on this brand new generation F-150, we still have a lot of remaining 2020 F-150s to clear from our lot.

Feel The Earth Move in a 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor
In early 2021, get ready for another Tremor…
The Ford Ranger will receive the Tremor package, built for scale, while making the Earth move here in the Twin Ports area.
The new 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor Off-Road Package creates the most off-road-ready factory-built Ranger ever offered in the U.S., adding a new level of all-terrain capability without sacrificing the everyday drivability, payload and towing capacity Ranger owners expect.
What makes it special?
The Ranger Tremor features a lifted suspension with off-road tuned FOX™ 2.0 monotube dampers and rear piggyback reservoirs, specially tuned front coilover and rear leaf springs, 32-inch Continental General Grabber™ all-terrain tires and six-switch auxiliary power pack to manage accessories including winches, light bars and air compressors.
Thanks to its General Grabber tires and new wheel lips, Ranger Tremor has a 1-inch wider stance; it features Magnetic-painted wheels, hoop-style steps, rear recovery hooks, painted grille, and optional hood and body graphics, plus package-exclusive seats with Miko suede inserts and black interior accents
Tremor boosts Ranger’s off-road metrics, including a 31-degree approach angle, up 2.7 degrees from the base SuperCrew 4×4, a 26.6-degree departure angle, which is up 1.2 degrees and a 24.2-degree breakover angle, up 1.5 degrees. Great for Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota!
Do I give up anything?
Compared to base Ranger, front suspension travel increases by approximately one-third of an inch to 6.5 inches. Rear suspension travel increases by nearly a full inch to 8.1 inches. Together, these improvements mean customers can confidently tackle more challenging terrain on their way to their next epic destination.
Despite its improved off-road capability, Tremor maintains Ranger’s utility in everyday adventures with a smooth, comfortable on-road ride. Plus it maintains a 1,430-pound maximum payload and available 7,500-pound maximum towing capacity, so customers can haul bikes, boats, campers and other gear on their adventures. It would be the best truck to have at work or by the lake.
Ranger Tremor comes with the proven 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine with 270 horsepower and best-in-class gas torque of 310 lb.-ft. It’s paired to a class-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel-drive with electronic locking rear differential.
What trim levels can I get it on?
The Tremor Off-Road Package is available on mid XLT and high Lariat series 2021 Ranger trucks with SuperCrew 4×4 configuration. Package pricing is $4,290 MSRP. 2021 Rangers equipped with the Tremor Off-Road Package will be built at Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan. Production is slated to begin early next year.
Contact us at Benna Ford to become one of the first in the Twin Ports area to own a Ranger Tremor. Make the Earth move in one next year!
The celebration of the return of the Ford Bronco family actually began 55 years ago. That was when the first Bronco arrived at Ford showrooms.
The 1966 Ford Bronco popularized the off-road vehicle craze that continues today. Its short, boxy shape made trailblazing easy, while returning smiles of many adventurers who drove one. You can still see older Broncos running across Northern Wisconsin and into Minnesota.
Soon, a new family of Broncos will join these legends on and off our roads. And, it all starts here at Benna Ford.
As part of this celebration, Ford created five adventure-inspired concepts that showcase the high level of customization the new Bronco family will have available to its customers. Beyond the standard options, there are more than 200 available factory-backed accessories for the Bronco two- and four-door, plus more than 100 accessories for the Bronco Sport.
Here are the concepts that Ford created to show off these accessories:
Bronco Four-Door Outer Banks Fishing Guide
Purpose-built to support a professional fishing guide along Cape Hatteras National Seashore, this lifestyle concept is based off the regionally inspired four-door Bronco Outer Banks™ series. On top is a Bestop® Sunrider® first-row soft top, factory-style concept roof rails and crossbars, and a Yakima® LockNLoad™ Platform roof rack. The SUV makes use of fender-mounted trail sights to fit a custom-made fishing pole and seat perch to wait for the perfect catch. A Ford Performance modular front bumper and safari bar help push through rugged terrain, while a slide-out tailgate provides a great work surface when repairing fishing rods or stringing up new lures. All-weather floor mats and splash guards round out the package.
Bronco Two-Door Trail Rig
Designed to be the ultimate hardcore trail rider, this custom build is based on the two-door Badlands™ series. It begins with a Ford Performance modular front bumper, tube doors, beadlock-capable wheels and 40-inch RIGID® LED lightbar. A Ford Performance by WARN® winch helps rescue your lesser-equipped 4×4 friends. On top, factory roof rails are augmented with a Yakima Platform roof rack system with mounts for a shovel, and Ford Performance by WARN recovery kit and recovery boards. Inside are rugged floor mats and a rear swing-gate-mounted table.
Bronco Sport Trail Rig
For adventurers looking to elevate their off-road trekking in a small, rugged 4×4, the Bronco Sport Trail Rig amps up the Badlands series model by adding 31-inch BFGoodrich™ Mud-Terrain T/A® KM3 tires, a one-inch lift kit, plus Ford Performance by RIGID LED off-road lights mounted to a front nudge bar. On top, a Yakima LockNLoad Platform roof rack and off-road gear mounts are designed to carry gear like a high-lift jack kit, Ford Performance recovery boards and jerry cans.
Bronco Sport TOW RZR
TOW RZR matches the added passenger comfort and technology features of the Badlands series with towing and cargo accessories to help adventurers haul more outdoor gear. The custom build adds Yakima HD Bar crossbars and OffGrid medium cargo basket and Class II Trailer Tow Package with 2,200 pounds of capacity to tow off-road runners like the all-new Polaris® RZR XP Turbo™, unveiled today as part of the Bronco birthday celebration.
Bronco Sport Off-Roadeo Adventure Patrol
Designed for the upcoming Bronco Off-Roadeo customer adventure playgrounds, this Bronco Sport Badlands build is equipped to assist in the wild with its Yakima LockNLoad Cargo Platform to hold recovery gear like a high-lift jack, recovery boards and jerry cans. A Ford Performance by RIGID off-road LED lightbar also mounts to the rack system. To support one of many Off-Roadeo excursions available, this Bronco Sport is equipped with the interior bike rack from Yakima to hold two mountain bikes. And to record customers’ adventures, it integrates a target to land the drone that will be used on-trail at Off-Roadeo locations.
Are you inspired by any of these concepts to see if they fit your next Bronco’s lifestyle? Contact Benna Ford to register your interest in the new Bronco family. And, don’t forget to reserve yours today!
Somewhere the backwoods of Northern Wisconsin, you are trying to find your way back to the highway. The trails look differently on the map. You check your navigation system in your Ford F-150, F-250 or SUV, but SYNC is not showing any signal from your Bluetooth connected phone. You cannot connect to a cellular signal, even through your apps.
This situation will become a thing in the past.
Starting with the 2021 F-150 and Bronco family, Ford and Telenav are helping ensure their connected navigation technologies continue working on far-off adventures unlike smartphone mapping apps that cease to work outside cellular range.
The core of this system will be the upcoming SYNC 4 connected vehicle technology. This new generation of SYNC will feature Telenav’s navigation that includes specialized route suggestions for towing and off-roading.
The available hybrid navigation solution stores maps and continues routing if adventures take drivers out of cell coverage. Owners of the 2021 F-150 and Bronco family will also have access to up-to-date landmarks and businesses in the surrounding area with their descriptions and user ratings from Yelp.
Telenav’s one-box search technology makes looking up addresses and destinations simple and convenient, intelligently prioritizing results based on the user’s location and personal preferences. The navigation solution incorporates a prediction service that anticipates the user’s destinations and automatically makes routing suggestions, all without the user having to enter a single word.
That should get you out of the woods.
To get to the woods, contact us at Benna Ford to see how you can become one of the first owners of a 2021 F-150, Bronco, or Bronco Sport in the Twin Ports area. You will find your way back in one of these great vehicles!
The new Ford Escape is designed with the driver and its occupants in mind. It all starts from the experience behind the wheel. That is why Ford delivered on a great instrument panel, with its wide screen digital display and its larger SYNC 3 touch screen.
The result is recognition from Wards Auto for naming the 2020 Ford Escape one of the Top 10 User Experience awards.
Chosen from a field of 18 vehicles with all-new or significantly improved user-experience features, this year’s winners will be honored with a virtual ceremony August 20, 2020 during the three-day Informa Tech Automotive Group’s Super Event.
In naming this award, WardsAuto cited that the Ford Escape delivers on “user-friendly connectivity.” SYNC 3 was designed for faster, smarter, and easier engagement with the driver and passengers to access connectivity, audio, and navigation options. Through touch and voice recognition, you can get your favorite music, newscast, or destination with ease.
Need to listen to the Twin Ports’ favorite rock station? Tell SYNC 3 its station name. Don’t remember where the nearest place to get your fishing gear? Let SYNC 3 find it for you. And, through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and integration with the Waze app, you have more navigation options available to you!
The editors and judges at WardsAuto even liked the screen saver on the digital instrumentation screen showing a “mountainscape” as a “dramatic startup sequence.” This inspiring screen is a way to dream where you want to go, even if it’s just to the lakeshore.
The new 2020 Ford Escape is innovative and user friendly. Contact us at Benna Ford to experience one today! We can even bring one by your home or office to show you how to stay connected behind the wheel.
