Ford Bronco Destroys King Of The Hammers Off-Road Race With Podium Sweep

Ford Performance have proven time and time again that they can take any vehicle and make it the absolute best of the road, track, and off-road. And, once again, the Ford Bronco took a clean 1-2-3 finish at the recent King of the Hammers off-road competition in the Ultra4 4600 Stock Class. Oh, by the way, they did the exact same thing at the same race in the same class last year. So, two years in a row, Bronco absolutely dominated. You may be asking at this point, what is the King of the Hammers? To put it simply, it’s an off-road race that’s held every year that puts vehicles through both high-speed desert racing and intense rock crawling. This year was the 18th running of the event, and it obviously didn’t disappoint. Don’t Let Me Down HOSS Ford Performance runs the Bronco in the 4600 class, which means it’s a stock, road-legal vehicle. Each Bronco entered into the race starts life the same way as any other 2-door model being made in Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant. They use the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 that makes 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque and the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension, or HOSS as Ford calls it. When asked why they bring the Bronco to the King of the Hammers race, Ford Performance Motorsports’ global director, Mark Rushbrook, said, "Racing and off-road competition like King of the Hammers lead to better products, like Bronco and Bronco Raptor. The stock class Every Man Bronco 4600s continue to showcase the development of new technologies, and these learnings can help us improve the vehicles our customers drive every day.” Special Edition Bronco For You Fox, the company behind the famous Fox Shocks and Fox Racing Shocks that Ford use for the Bronco and F-150, have developed and are selling the new Ford Bronco King of the Hammers Edition. The exclusive, Bronco-only features include: Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks, BDS 4” PE coilovers, 37/12.50R18 BF Goodrich KM3 tires, 18” Ojos wheels, carbon fiber fender flares, fully equipped ARB air compressor system, King of the Hammers badging, KoH seats, KoH graphics package, Nacho TM5 combo white lights, White Rock lights, among other things, plus a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty. Ford Bronco and Maverick Make Car and Driver's 10Best List

For 40 years now, Car and Driver has released a 10Best list of the top vehicles produced each year. This year’s 40 th anniversary of the prestigious list marks a separate list for trucks and SUVs, and the Ford Bronco and Ford Maverick are excited to have made the list. What Makes the Bronco and Maverick the Best of the Best? In order to make the list, vehicles must meet certain criteria set by Car and Driver. They’re judged on a 100-point scale including categories like value, purpose, and how much fun they are to drive. A vehicle should demonstrate that it can operate under it’s intended purpose while remaining practical yet entertaining to the consumer. This is the first year that the publication separated vehicle types into categories, with other parameters to entry like release date and final cost. Such strict limitations are what make it so exciting that two Ford vehicles were able to inch past the competition to make the list. This is the second year in a row that the rereleased Ford Bronco made the list. One of the things that Car and Driver loves most about the Bronco – and we here at Benna Ford love that about it, too! From the off-road capable Raptor to the throwback Heritage and Heritage Limited models, there are over ten different options to choose from, each with unique features and styling. There’s the Everglades, which is outfitted with a snorkel system and winch kit; then there’s the Base. Even at its most basic, the Bronco comes with all-season tires and G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Terrain), which are sure to please. [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="381,382"] Then there’s the Maverick, Ford’s practical hybrid truck, which comes in at a starting MSRP of just $22,595. It’s a lot smaller than most trucks, but that’s precisely the attribute that helped it earn its spot on the 10Best list. This subcompact truck is small enough for easy maneuvering and daily use, but large enough to haul and tow when needed. Its standard hybrid powertrain achieves a maximum 500-mile range, but there’s a 2.0L Ecoboost engine option for those searching for a bit more oomph. Its FLEXBED system and multi-position tailgate allow for optimized hauling, and there are several customization options – like a bed extender and performance packages - to fit anyone’s needs. Find Your Ford at Benna Ford Own a piece of Car and Driver’s 10Best at Benna Ford! We currently have 2023 Bronco models in our inventory, with Maverick models expected to arrive soon. If you can’t wait for your Maverick, we can also help you place a custom order to get a head start. Contact us today to learn more! We look forward to helping you find your next Ford.

Automotive Performance Group Unveils ProRunner Package for Bronco Sport

Does the Ford Bronco Sport Have a ProRunner Conversion Package Though Ford models like the Bronco Sport have plenty of trim levels that will suit the majority of drivers out there, it would be impossible for Ford to anticipate the driving needs and desires of every single person who might buy such a vehicle. That’s where third parties come into play, displaying their appreciation and love for a model like the Bronco Sport by taking it upon themselves to equip it with unique features and styles. more To be more specific, we are referring to the Automotive Performance Group (APG), which has developed ProRunner versions of your favorite Ford vehicles. They already had a ProRunner version of the Ford Ranger, but now, they also have a Ford Bronco ProRunner Package. What Comes With the Bronco ProRunner Package? Though the Ford Bronco is well equipped, the APG package adds quite a lot of capability for those who really want to experience the Bronco Sport in a new form. Much of this is in the area of the suspension. The Bronco Sport ProRunner is equipped with APG’s Bronco Long Travel Front Suspension System that features a net 16.5 inches of wheel travel, King Race Series coilovers and triple bypass shocks. The coilovers and shocks can be found in both the front and rear of the vehicle. The front and rear also both features aerospace-grade carbon fiber fenders. These are 7 inches wider per side compared to the factory model. Plus, speaking of carbon fiber, the ProRunner Bronco Sport also boasts a carbon fiber hood insert and hardtop. Ford Tested the Bronco Raptor Against the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, and It Paid Off

Differences Between the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor vs Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Though we prefer our Ford models here at Benna Ford, we aren’t completely incapable of giving props to other auto brands. For instance, Jeep for many years has been one of the top automakers for off-road acumen, not to mention the brand, like Ford, has a massive place in American automotive history. more But that was then, and the Ford Bronco is now. Knowing that Jeep was the brand to beat, Ford has been testing the new 2023 Bronco Raptor model against its closest competitor, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. Is one better than the other? Let’s explore the differences. Performance and Off-Road Specs There are certainly some similarities between these models, including that they both come equipped with a 4WD system, offer four-door convenience and seat up to five people. They both come with a spare wheel made of aluminum, just in case you encounter some rough terrain out in the wilderness, and they both boast a transmission with a dual shift mode. That said, there are some key differences. For example, the Bronco Raptor has a 10-speed automatic transmission, while its Jeep counterpart comes with just an 8-speed. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 also falls behind in towing capacity, offering just 3,500 lbs against the Bronco Raptor’s 4,500 lbs. Interior Space and Other Specs Of course, cargo space is also a crucial aspect of these vehicles, as you’ll likely be using them regularly for vacation trips or camping. To handle all your gear, the Bronco Raptor has an 83 cu ft cargo area, while the Rubicon 392 has just 67.4 cu ft. The Bronco Raptor even has its counterpart beat in front seat legroom by over two inches. Explore Our New Bronco Inventory We can’t forget to mention one of the most essential facts about these two models and their MSRP. Again, the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor comes out on top with a starting MSRP of $73,780 compared to the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392’s starting MSRP of $82,495. Concepts Display Accessory Ideas for Bronco, Bronco Sport

The celebration of the return of the Ford Bronco family actually began 55 years ago. That was when the first Bronco arrived at Ford showrooms. The 1966 Ford Bronco popularized the off-road vehicle craze that continues today. Its short, boxy shape made trailblazing easy, while returning smiles of many adventurers who drove one. You can still see older Broncos running across Northern Wisconsin and into Minnesota. Soon, a new family of Broncos will join these legends on and off our roads. And, it all starts here at Benna Ford. As part of this celebration, Ford created five adventure-inspired concepts that showcase the high level of customization the new Bronco family will have available to its customers. Beyond the standard options, there are more than 200 available factory-backed accessories for the Bronco two- and four-door, plus more than 100 accessories for the Bronco Sport. Here are the concepts that Ford created to show off these accessories: Bronco Four-Door Outer Banks Fishing Guide Purpose-built to support a professional fishing guide along Cape Hatteras National Seashore, this lifestyle concept is based off the regionally inspired four-door Bronco Outer Banks ™ series. On top is a Bestop ® Sunrider ® first-row soft top, factory-style concept roof rails and crossbars, and a Yakima ® LockNLoad ™ Platform roof rack. The SUV makes use of fender-mounted trail sights to fit a custom-made fishing pole and seat perch to wait for the perfect catch. A Ford Performance modular front bumper and safari bar help push through rugged terrain, while a slide-out tailgate provides a great work surface when repairing fishing rods or stringing up new lures. All-weather floor mats and splash guards round out the package. Bronco Two-Door Trail Rig Designed to be the ultimate hardcore trail rider, this custom build is based on the two-door Badlands ™ series. It begins with a Ford Performance modular front bumper, tube doors, beadlock-capable wheels  and 40-inch RIGID ® LED lightbar. A Ford Performance by WARN ® winch helps rescue your lesser-equipped 4x4 friends. On top, factory roof rails are augmented with a Yakima Platform roof rack system with mounts for a shovel, and Ford Performance by WARN recovery kit and recovery boards. Inside are rugged floor mats and a rear swing-gate-mounted table. Bronco Sport Trail Rig For adventurers looking to elevate their off-road trekking in a small, rugged 4x4, the Bronco Sport Trail Rig amps up the Badlands series model by adding 31-inch BFGoodrich ™ Mud-Terrain T/A ® KM3 tires, a one-inch lift kit, plus Ford Performance by RIGID LED off-road lights mounted to a front nudge bar. On top, a Yakima LockNLoad Platform roof rack and off-road gear mounts are designed to carry gear like a high-lift jack kit, Ford Performance recovery boards and jerry cans. Bronco Sport TOW RZR TOW RZR matches the added passenger comfort and technology features of the Badlands series with towing and cargo accessories to help adventurers haul more outdoor gear. The custom build adds Yakima HD Bar crossbars and OffGrid medium cargo basket and Class II Trailer Tow Package with 2,200 pounds of capacity to tow off-road runners like the all-new Polaris ® RZR XP Turbo ™, unveiled today as part of the Bronco birthday celebration. Bronco Sport Off-Roadeo Adventure Patrol Designed for the upcoming Bronco Off-Roadeo customer adventure playgrounds, this Bronco Sport Badlands build is equipped to assist in the wild with its Yakima LockNLoad Cargo Platform to hold recovery gear like a high-lift jack, recovery boards and jerry cans. A Ford Performance by RIGID off-road LED lightbar also mounts to the rack system. To support one of many Off-Roadeo excursions available, this Bronco Sport is equipped with the interior bike rack from Yakima to hold two mountain bikes. And to record customers’ adventures, it integrates a target to land the drone that will be used on-trail at Off-Roadeo locations. Getting Lost Is A Thing Of The Past in 2021 F-150, Bronco

Somewhere the backwoods of Northern Wisconsin, you are trying to find your way back to the highway. The trails look differently on the map. You check your navigation system in your Ford F-150, F-250 or SUV, but SYNC is not showing any signal from your Bluetooth connected phone. You cannot connect to a cellular signal, even through your apps. This situation will become a thing in the past. Starting with the 2021 F-150 and Bronco family, Ford and Telenav are helping ensure their connected navigation technologies continue working on far-off adventures unlike smartphone mapping apps that cease to work outside cellular range. The core of this system will be the upcoming SYNC 4 connected vehicle technology. This new generation of SYNC will feature Telenav’s navigation that includes specialized route suggestions for towing and off-roading. The available hybrid navigation solution stores maps and continues routing if adventures take drivers out of cell coverage. Owners of the 2021 F-150 and Bronco family will also have access to up-to-date landmarks and businesses in the surrounding area with their descriptions and user ratings from Yelp. Telenav’s one-box search technology makes looking up addresses and destinations simple and convenient, intelligently prioritizing results based on the user’s location and personal preferences. The navigation solution incorporates a prediction service that anticipates the user’s destinations and automatically makes routing suggestions, all without the user having to enter a single word. That should get you out of the woods. To get to the woods, contact us at Benna Ford to see how you can become one of the first owners of a 2021 F-150, Bronco, or Bronco Sport in the Twin Ports area. Why Bronco, why now? Building on Ford's strength in SUVs, seeing the most SUVs ever purchased in 2019, and a growing surge in consumers wanting to get back to nature, there couldn't be a better time to bring America's first and original "sports utility vehicle" back to market. Just look at Bronco as the top trending automotive topic in Google analytics. Why do you think Bronco is trending and is so popular among off-road enthusiasts and Americans interested in new vehicles right now? After we shelved the Bronco in 1996, a funny thing happened. Love for Bronco only grew. Bronco clubs proliferated around the country. Classic Broncos became the one of the most highly sought after and collectible vehicles on the U.S. market. The resto-mod crowd at SEMA, our dealers, off-road enthusiasts and Ford employees think of Bronco as more than a vehicle. It's an idea — one that connects us to our love of the outdoors and getting into the wild. When did the original Bronco debut? Bronco debuted on August 11, 1965, as a 1966 model year vehicle. How many generations of Bronco are there? The all-new Bronco is the sixth generation of Bronco since the vehicle's release in 1966. Why did Bronco end in 1996? Popularity of old school, two-door, truck-based SUVs waned in the 1990s. Consumer tastes in the 1990s shifted, and Ford took advantage of the growing four-door SUV markets with all-new vehicles like Ford Explorer (America's best-selling SUV for more than the past quarter-century) and full-size Ford Expedition. What will all Bronco models have in common? Every Bronco is Built Wild, delivering a thrilling and confident off-road experience that uniquely draws from 55 years of design and racing heritage plus ingenious adventurer-centered design insights and Bronco-variant architectures to create modern and fun-to-drive off-road vehicles. What is the difference between Bronco and Bronco Sport? Bronco is a body-on-frame vehicle, while Bronco Sport is a unibody vehicle. Both come with 4x4 standard and are intended for off-road use. Will all Bronco vehicles have 4x4? Yes, all Broncos will have 4x4, making Bronco the only domestic family of SUVs with standard 4x4. What makes up Bronco's Built Wild promise? Built Wild is our brand promise for every Bronco model to deliver on our three key pillars: Built Wild Extreme Durability Testing, Built Wild Capability and Built Wild Innovative Design. What is Built Wild Extreme Durability Testing pillar about? To u g h n e s s . Our Built Wild Extreme Durability Testing torture tests across thousands of lab, proving ground and real-world extreme challenges in the harshest climates. What is Built Wild Capability pillar about? It speaks to the legendary 4x4 confidence to Go Over Any type of Terrain (G.O.A.T.) provided by unique Bronco-variant architectures with class-leading levels of capability, suspension and trail technologies. Which architecture is the Bronco two- and four-door based on? The all-new Bronco two- and four-door models feature a Bronco-variant of Ford's new second-generation global midsize truck architecture. This even more rugged and off-road capable architecture is similar to the Ford Ranger and built alongside the midsize truck at Ford's Michigan Assembly Plant.
