Power Stroke diesel versions can plow up to 1,290 pounds. Both of these ratings are best in the heavy duty pickup truck segment.
The package also includes heavy duty springs, an up-rated alternator. Both are necessary to handle these heavy duty snow jobs you will encounter, especially the extra electrical power the plow and auxiliary lights will need to get the job done. You can choose between white or amber LED strobe lights.
To make sure you’re working through another bad snow storm, your 2020 F-Series Super Duty can be equipped with an available windshield wiper de-icer, heated steering wheel, front and rear seats. That way, you stay warm and keep a clear vision the next time you have plow the parking lot.
Of course, your choice of power underneath the hood will also help making the job of plowing snow easier. The Power Stroke 6.7-liter V8 turbo diesel has 1,050 pound-feet of torque to move that 1,290 pounds of snow out of the way. The new 7.3-liter gasoline V8 is no slouch either, with 475 pound-feet of torque for the job. You could plow with the standard 6.2-liter V8, as well. All engines are connected to the 10-speed heavy duty TorqShift automatic transmission, featuring a special drive mode for added control in snowy or slick conditions.
