Dependability is designed into every Ford we sell. You see them all over the Twin Ports area, commuting on our bridges and highways, plowing our parking lots, protecting our communities, and putting smiles on our faces.
We were happy to hear that Ford took two J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study awards for two of our most popular and iconic vehicles — the F-150 pickup truck and the Mustang.
The 2020 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of three-year old, model year vehicles. Therefore, we were happy to hear that owners of 2017 F-150s and Mustangs found their vehicles have provided them with loyal service and operation throughout these past few years.
It’s not just these two models that are class leaders in this latest study by J.D. Power. Among non-premium brands, Ford is now fifth overall in brand-wide dependability. One of the reasons cited by J.D. Power has been the improvements made on the SYNC 3 infotainment system, adding to the dependability expected in a Ford today.
This study is also a great indicator on how well these vehicles will stand up over time. They also add to resale value, as well. This is why both the F-150 and Mustang are best-sellers in each class – the F-150 continues to be the sales leader among pickup trucks in its 43rd year.
