The Ford F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in America for the past 43 years. As Denis Leary says in the commercials, “it doesn’t raise the bar, it IS THE BAR!”

Recently, Ford conducted a survey of pickup truck owners to find out who they are and what they do with their vehicle. The results may or may not surprise you.

Truck owners are as diverse as we are. They are represented in every age group, gender, and economic status.

They are also loyal to the core. They would never give up their truck over drinking – alcohol and coffee – and would rather not have a streaming service, than not have their truck. Truck owners are protective of their steeds – and they truly put them to work. In fact, they see their truck as another tool in the toolbox.

What words do truck owners describe how they feel about their trucks? The survey said they use words such as “capable,” “dependable,” “self-reliant,” and “proud.” Twenty-five percent of the owners surveyed also give their truck a name. Nothing wrong with that!

The pickup truck is also a cultural icon – especially right here in the Twin Ports area. Did you know that there are 180-plus songs about trucks? They are even featured in over 3,000 movies and television shows.

Even more important is how a truck is seen as a helper to others. Because you have a truck, you may help a neighbor bring home a large piece of furniture or help move across the bay. In fact, 94% of the survey respondents stated that they used their truck to help others; 34% state that they have helped others on a weekly basis.

Do any of these describe you? They point to one thing – the Ford F-150 is the most useful vehicle you can get right now! You can make friends out of neighbors, become more self-reliant and proud…and you might as well give it a name!
