Differences Between the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor vs Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392

Though we prefer our Ford models here at Benna Ford, we aren’t completely incapable of giving props to other auto brands. For instance, Jeep for many years has been one of the top automakers for off-road acumen, not to mention the brand, like Ford, has a massive place in American automotive history.

But that was then, and the Ford Bronco is now. Knowing that Jeep was the brand to beat, Ford has been testing the new 2023 Bronco Raptor model against its closest competitor, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. Is one better than the other? Let’s explore the differences.

Performance and Off-Road Specs

There are certainly some similarities between these models, including that they both come equipped with a 4WD system, offer four-door convenience and seat up to five people. They both come with a spare wheel made of aluminum, just in case you encounter some rough terrain out in the wilderness, and they both boast a transmission with a dual shift mode.

That said, there are some key differences. For example, the Bronco Raptor has a 10-speed automatic transmission, while its Jeep counterpart comes with just an 8-speed. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 also falls behind in towing capacity, offering just 3,500 lbs against the Bronco Raptor’s 4,500 lbs.

Interior Space and Other Specs

Of course, cargo space is also a crucial aspect of these vehicles, as you’ll likely be using them regularly for vacation trips or camping. To handle all your gear, the Bronco Raptor has an 83 cu ft cargo area, while the Rubicon 392 has just 67.4 cu ft. The Bronco Raptor even has its counterpart beat in front seat legroom by over two inches.
