Customers who need the absolute best when it comes to a heavy-duty steel frame that offers seemingly endless customization and upfitting know that the Ford F-Series Stripped Chassis is unrivaled in its performance and usability.

The standard Stripped Chassis comes with a powerful 7.3-liter gas V8 and features suspension that not only handles all of the rough day-to-day driving that a business needs such a vehicle for but doesn’t jostle drivers and cargo around.

Performance

There is only one engine available for the F-53 and F-59 Stripped Chassis vehicles: the incredible 7.3-liter V8 that produces 335 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. Codenamed Godzilla, this gas V8 provides excellent power and torque throughout the rev range as well as the right amount of durability that is expected of an engine in such a heavy-duty capacity.

Both the F-53 and F-59 are available with the optional CNG/Propane Gas Engine Prep Package that allows for seamless power conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas. The Engine Prep Package adds hardened engine intake valves, exhaust valves, and valve seats.

Aiding the Stripped Chassis in delivering its power and torque to the road is a 6-speed TorqShift® SelectShift® automatic transmission that is specially made and tuned for commercial heavy-duty applications, featuring Progressive Range Selection for overdrive locket and manual gear selection. The standard Tow/Haul mode allows the transmission to hold gears longer, delaying upshifts and compensating when going up and down steep grades while hauling heavy loads.

The F-53 Motorhome Stripped Chassis can accommodate seven wheelbases and a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of up to 26,000 lbs.

The F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis can be optioned with the Parcel Delivery Package, which offers three wheelbases and body lengths from 16 to 24 feet. It is the perfect solution for walk-in delivery-type usage.

Both models feature a Ladder-Type, Single-Channel, 36,000 psi Steel, E-Coated chassis. Buyers can option a galvanized frame.

Exterior

The F-Series Stripped Chassis can be configured as either an RV/Motorhome or a delivery/heavy-duty work van.

The F-Series Stripped Chassis comes standard with 6 19.5-inch x 6-inch Black steel wheels wrapped in 225/70Rx19.5G BSW Highway tires. If you choose the Parcel Delivery Package, the F-Series will have 19.5-inch x 6.75-inch steel wheels in either White or Black. A set of 19.5-inch x 6-inch White steel wheels are optional, as are 245/70Rx19.5G BSW Highway tires.

Interior

The F-Series Stripped Chassis is meant to be either a Motorhome or a large Commercial vehicle.

2025 F-Series Stripped Chassis customers can also work with any of the 300 qualified upfitters around the country to customize it to fit their needs.

Technology

All F-Series Stripped Chassis feature a message center in the gauge cluster that will display the engine hour meter, outside air temperature, and the vehicle’s driving range.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Ford has given the F-Series Stripped Chassis an impressive array of safety features, including Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Auto High-Beam Headlights, Distance Alert System, Pre-Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking, Traction, and Stability Control. Adaptive Cruise Control is an available option.
