Ford Trucks 100 Years

100 Years of Ford Trucks!

Henry Ford saw that American business needed trucks to keep the flow of goods moving. In 1917, Ford introduced the Model TT - a truck that answered the call to get goods to market.

One hundred years later, Ford is the leader in trucks. The past 40 years saw the F-Series as the best-selling truck in the USA - 35 of them as the best-selling vehicle, period. Ford has been a leader in innovation, engineering and design in trucks.

Throughout this past century, a Ford truck has been asked to do the toughest jobs. The Model TT was easy to drive and familiar to work on, while it brought food from farm to table. It also carried the latest in household innovations home. Ford trucks were also designed for larger tasks. There were even Fords that rolled with eighteen wheels on our Interstates.

The iconic F-Series pickup was as innovative then as it is today. The 1948 Bonus Built F-Series was the economic driver in post-World War II America. Every F-Series since continued to do the job is fulfilling its payload for the growing commerce of this country.

With a change in our country, Ford saw a change in truck usage. Trucks were primarily made for work - they still do. However, we wanted them to play with. We also wanted to commute in them, too! Ford responded with adding more trim choices and offering fun trucks for recreational use. You can see it come to fruition in the F-150 Raptor - the most fun one can have in a truck!

A century later, Ford trucks are the backbone of work and play in America. From the popular F-150 to the work-ready F-750 Class 7 truck, there is a truck that will fit your life or work. Benna Ford specializes in trucks that work for you and is ready to play. Stop by to see how you can continue the legacy of Ford's truck leadership.
